Basic Search Tips:
To search the products, simply type a keyword into the box, then click "Search" or press the [enter] or [return] key on your keyboard. The search engine will search the database and display the products that match your keyword. When you type one or more words, the search engine returns all the products that contain all the words specified in the search. Some words are equivalent to other words, and searching for one word returns results for the other, as well. For example, if you search for the word “hp”, the search engine returns all the products that contain the words “hp”. In simple keyword searches, slashes (/) and dashes (-) are not ignored.

To make your search more efficient, you can look for a single word or phrases in the product description. Or, use the tips below to refine your search to find more specific results.
To refine your search you can enter any one of the following in order to get desired results
ü Model number (NC2400, 244t etc.)
ü Part number (Manufacturer Part Number) This is a unique number each manufacturer assigns to each of their products. Enter the Manufacturer Part Number (the number of digits will vary by product eg. RL883AW). Do not use space, hyphens or periods. The search engine will display that product's specific information.
ü Product’s brand name (example HP, IBM, APC etc)
ü Type of product (example printer, scanner, thinkpad, desktops etc)
ü Any product description (example Processor type, display, operating system, hard drive etc.)
Search in results:
The "search in results" enables you to refine your search until you have the result you want without thinking ahead. After each search, replace the word in the search box and click "search in results" to find a limited search from within the records that were previously found. You can repeat the process, to search within the previous search results, as often as you need. In this way, you can quickly reduce a great many results to the best few for your purposes.
Once you’ve received your results, you will notice that you can sort your results by name, price, or customer rating in either ascending or descending order. Most searches are Plural insensitive, meaning that a search for "Think pad" and a search for "Think pads" will bring similar results.

v It is not essential to Log-in or Register to browse our online Catalogue.
v The search engine is not case sensitive so both “APC” and “apc” will fetch you with the same results.
v The search engine doesn’t support the use of quotes, asterisk (*) or any other wild card characters. Example if you try using the search key word ibm in quotes (“ibm”) will get a result as no matches found.
